Drop + The Lord of the Rings Elvish Keyboard Review

Are you into mechanical keyboards? Are you a fan of Lord of the Rings? Well what if I told you the first two ever officially licensed Lord of the Rings mechanical keyboards have been released recently. These come from Drop and are based off their very popular ENTR tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard and will feature Drop’s own Holy Panda X switches and Phantom stabilizers. Out of the two available keyboards (Elvish & Dwarvish) we received the Elvish version which has a nice green color, a custom Lord of the Rings keycap set, and custom artwork by OSHETART depicting the Two Trees of Valinor. If you are a Lord of the Rings fan this has to be a must-buy for you right? Read on as we find out!

Special thanks to Drop for providing us with the Lord of the Lord of the Rings Elvish Keyboard to review.

Packaging

The Drop + The Lord of the Rings Elvish Keyboard comes in a retail box that has a map of middle-earth printed on it, which really shows you Drop is going all out with their Lord of the Rings branding.

Opening the box up inside you’ll find the keyboard nicely packaged. Removing the keyboard we find a handful of accessories as well. So with everything you get the keyboard, a quick start guide, an extra set of orange keycaps, a white rubber USB cable, and a wire keycap puller. These orange keycaps are actually part of the “Autumn in Rivendell” add-on set that was part of the original Drop + Lord of the Rings MT3 keycap set from last year.
